This project offered a unique engineering challenge of relocating a substantial and historically important 1960’s mosaic “Risen Christ” by the famous Italian sculptor Enrico Gaudenzi. The success of the project depended on collaboration and careful planning, together with sound engineering principles to produce a solution.

The church has been restored and enhanced and is still accessible to the public. A new building has been constructed which will create a viable Medical School. In the process the existing buildings have also been fully refurbished, and the school building has been restored in keeping with its original character.

The project has significantly contributed to the maintenance and restoration of our heritage, while recycling under utilised and inefficient space to create an educational facility.
