DSC_0070.JPGA vertical barrier wall was constructed to stop a jet fuel plume in the groundwater at Caltex Refinery in Kurnell from entering Marton Park Wetlands. The prooject was managed by Quantum Environmental Services and GFWAust were appointed to construct the slurry wall.
The vertical barrier wall was 250m long, 0.5m wide and 4m deep, and was constructed with a bentonite cement slurry to achieve a permeability of 10-9 m/s.
