Ravenswood.jpgGFWAust were asked to seal a leak behind a membrane where new structure butted up against the old school building. Ravenswood1.jpgAs part of the Australian Governments incentive following the global financial crisis, Cockram were awarded the task of constructing new building works adjacent to Ravenswood High School.
At the interface between the new structure and the existing structure a membrane was extended from the new wall onto the old membrane. However at one of the footings water ingress entered into a new corridor, appearing to bypass the membrane and entering at the intersection of the wall and base slab.
GFWAust injected DryFlex, an acryllic resin with a similar viscosity to that of water, into drill holes bored at the interface of the wall and base slab.
The water ingress was plugged and the works completed.
